Nurse Practitioner – Medical Weight Loss
Iowa Weight Loss Specialists is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner in our Des Moines office, who is passionate about weight loss medicine and clinical quality. Our focus is on optimizing the practice environment so that our clinicians can feel proud of the care they give. This role will function as a critical member of the weight loss care team working collaboratively with other healthcare providers.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients undergoing a medically supervised obesity treatment and weight loss program in a comprehensive, team-oriented bariatric clinic
- Provide care for patients preparing for and following bariatric surgery. Follow clinical pathways in accordance with ASMBS guidelines
- Develop care plans for weight management and lifestyle change in collaboration with patient and dietitian
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team and other health care providers as needed

Requirements:
- Current, unrestricted license in state of Iowa; Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner
- BLS
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, physician and staff
