What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teaching and Research Professor in Chemistry position at Iowa State University- Department of Chemistry?
As an Assistant Teaching Professor, your primary responsibilities will include teaching large, in-person introductory courses as well as advanced undergraduate courses. Course assignments may evolve over time and may include online teaching.
You will also be responsible for service work within the department, which may focus on issues of TA management, undergraduate affairs, and other parts of the life of the department and the college.
To be considered for this position, you must have a PhD in chemistry or a closely related area. Teaching experience at the university level is also required. Preferred qualifications include teaching experience as the instructor of record in chemistry at the university level, experience managing teaching assistants (TAs), and excellent communication skills.
