- Planning & Coordinating summer programs, taking care of registrations, letters, and purchasing and maintaining inventory of supplies, organizing timeline and program layout with the assistance of office staff
- Assist with planning and conducting Grundy County 4-H & Youth activities. Activities include: Summer Library Programs, Day Camps, Grundy County Fair, Fashion Show, OnSite Garden Judging and other events as assigned by office staff.
- Work with full-time staff to develop and nurture industry partnerships and work with community partners to plan programming
- Learn and assist with 4honline database and FairEntry software.
- Attend staff meetings or other events as assigned by the supervisor
- Assist volunteers and staff with a variety of tasks.
- Submit records of program participation, program evaluation and wage/mileage reports as required by the supervisor
- Supervisors are the Grundy County Extension REED and Grundy County CYC
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing to youth and adults.
- Experience in organizing educational programs for youth.
- Experience working with groups.
- Knowledge of a variety of computer programs.
- Ability to work on projects with little supervision.
- Completion of one year of college preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and access to transportation.
- Must pass Child Protection and Safety Policy Screening prior to employment.
- Employment Dates: Negotiable. Approximately May 20th to August 2nd
- Salary: $12.00—$15.00 an hour based on experience for up to 400 hours.
