Responsibilities

• Assist with and coordinate summer events and activities such as day camps, 4-H workshops, 4-H correspondence and the County Fair.
• Assist with county and state fair entry processing.
• Assist with database entry and coordination.
• Must be available to work additional hours during the week of county fair July 21-27, 2025.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Weekly reporting.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Must successfully complete background screening.
• Valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation.
• Knowledge and/or experience as a member or volunteer in the Iowa 4-H program.
• Interest in Extension & Outreach as a career is desirable.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong computer skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Cooperates well with others – a team player.
• Dependable.
• Able to work independently and with a group.
• Strong communication skills.
  
  

Additional Information

Employment Dates & Hours

• Part-time. Some flexibility in hours/days. Start and end time negotiable.
• 2 positions – Up to 32 hours per week for 10 weeks.
• More hours during County Fair – July 21-27, 2025

• County Extension Director.
• County Youth Coordinator.
