Position Information: Position Title: E-commerce and Logistics Coordinator - ISU Surplus Job Group: Professional & Scientific Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience Preferred Qualifications: E-commerce experience (e.g. online auction sites, website catalogs) Logistics experience; coordinating outbound package and freight shipments Inventory experience Experience using material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) Experience with photography and editing tools Job Description: Logistics and Support Services at Iowa State University is seeking applications for an E-commerce and Logistics Coordinator within the ISU Surplus operation. ISU Surplus manages ISU’s end-of-life assets via resale, repurpose or recycle/disposal. Along with selling items in our physical store, ISU Surplus sells items via online platforms including, Govdeals.com. This position is responsible for listing products online, building auction lots, handling inventory and scheduling pick up or shipment of products to customers. This position is responsible for identifying, researching and evaluating a diverse range of items that need to be resold in order to drive revenue. Other responsibilities include, testing items for functionality and condition, determine pricing, formulate clear and accurate online listing descriptions, take and edit photos and relocate items using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and lifting/carrying. The position will also be responsible for tracking university assets and assist with sales floor stocking and pricing, as needed. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of online marketplaces, excellent computer skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, is well organized and has experience or interest in IT/electronics, vehicles, furniture, scientific equipment and clothing. The successful candidate will have strong customer service skills. This position works in a warehouse and office setting and the candidate must have the ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations. Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. This position will be hired as a Logistics Coordinator III.
