Job Title: Senior Corporate Systems Administrator

Summary:
In addition to providing cloud services, IP Pathways is a Managed Services Provider (MSP) and Value-Added Reseller (VAR) that delivers professional services and resells, installs, and supports data center infrastructure, including virtualization, storage, networking, and security.
To support the company's growth and operations, the Corporate IT team maintains a secure, reliable, and high-performing internal infrastructure. This includes systems such as on-prem Exchange, ConnectWise products, vSphere, and our proprietary cloud platform. By ensuring infrastructure stability and delivering exceptional end-user support, the team plays a critical role in enabling the organization to operate efficiently and effectively.
We are hiring a Senior Corporate Systems Administrator to lead and enhance our Corporate IT team. This role focuses on maintaining, managing, and supporting internal IT systems, evaluating and implementing new technologies, ensuring compliance, and leading migration projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills to ensure the success of IT initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to evolve into a leadership position as the team and company grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Nextcloud at an enterprise level, including customization and administration.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support needs and IT escalations.
- Lead and manage the daily operations of internal corporate infrastructure, including but not limited to:
- On-prem Microsoft Exchange
- On-prem ConnectWise PSA/Manage
- VMware vSphere
- Windows/Linux servers
- Cisco Unified Communications
· Maintain and support on-prem AD, DNS, and DHCP with Azure integration.
· Evaluate, recommend, and implement new IT products and services, presenting findings to senior leadership.
· Lead migration projects and ensure successful implementation of new technology.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation and operational procedures.
· Perform routine service monitoring to ensure system integrity and availability of key processes and components.
· Participate in an after-hours on-call.
· Performing after-hours patching would be in addition to this rotation and is scheduled in advance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in:
- Microsoft Windows Server Infrastructure (Active Directory, DNS/DHCP).
- Exchange/Office 365 administration.
- Supporting and managing enterprise environments.
- Well-rounded networking knowledge and experience, including VLANs, firewalls, routing, and security best practices.
- Security-focused mindset in all facets of work, with an emphasis on compliance and long-term security strategy.
- Proven ability to evaluate IT solutions, assess pricing, and present recommendations to senior leadership.
- Hands-on experience with system migrations and implementations.
- Familiarity with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Rocky Linux.
- Experience with Cisco Unified Communications systems.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, Security , Network ).
- Strong desire to learn and grow within the company, contributing to long-term IT and security strategy.
