About the Role: As a Procurement Specialist, you will act as a crucial liaison between IPAP Sales, Customer Service, suppliers, and the warehouse. You will ensure pricing accuracy, enabling our Customer Service Representatives to confidently communicate with distributors about order fulfillment and price quoting.
Major Responsibilities:
- Pricing Integrity: Enter pricing into the system and provide automated quotes to members. Review and resolve pricing discrepancies on order confirmations. Send price lists to Venture Partners and specific category contacts.
- Process, Review, and Track Supplier Confirmations: Verify and confirm pricing and quantities, ensuring minimums are met. Process exceptions/changes/revisions/pricing related to supplier confirmation. Communicate supplier shelf-life concerns and substitutions with the sales team.
- Supplier Integrity: Request item specs, pricing, and factors from appropriate parties for item setup. Maintain accurate supplier files. Maintain item integrity by inactivating and discontinuing items when requested by suppliers.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years in the Foodservice industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining thorough and accurate record-keeping.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle an intense, fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
