Summary

As a Director of Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing the company’s financial health, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and optimizing financial processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support month-end closing, and provide insights to enhance decision-making. 

Responsibilities

·      Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP/IFRS standards. 

·      Month-End & Year-End Close: Oversee and execute the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. 

·      Revenue Recognition: Ensure accurate SaaS revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 (or IFRS 15), including deferred revenue management. 

·      Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and key balance sheet accounts. 

·      Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets, financial projections, and cash flow statements. 

·      Tax & Compliance: Work with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure regulatory compliance (sales tax, VAT/GST, income tax, etc.). 

·      Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, automation, and internal controls. 

·      Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Operations, and Product teams to support strategic decision-making. 

·      Qualifications & Experience: 

·      Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CA, or CMA preferred). 

Experience

·      5-8 years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or tech company. 

·      Technical Skills: 

·      Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and SaaS-specific financial principles. 

·      Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or Sage Intacct). 

·      Experience with subscription billing platforms (e.g., Stripe, Chargebee, or Zuora) is a plus. 

·      Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling). 

·      Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
