Job Description:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
Design and implement data architecture solutions using the Microsoft Fabric platform with a focus on architecting data models and developing comprehensive dashboards and reports for visualizing data
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Work closely with data engineers to develop logical and physical data models that ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and manipulation.
Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and ease of use.
Ensure data security and privacy by implementing appropriate measures and protocols.
Work with Data Governance team to develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data analysts and other team members. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data architecture and management.
Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar tools for building Data Catalogs and/or Data Protection
Building models off Lakehouses with Delta Lake
CI/CD pipelines and release management for data solutions
Ensuring data quality with automated tests
REQUIREMENTS:
Advance skills in Microsoft applications including Excel, and Access
Understanding of relational database
BI reporting tools such as Power BI, Crystal Reports, or SSRS
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
High level of mathematical ability
Accuracy and attention to detail
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Experience with tools such as Tabular Editor and DAX Studio
Hybrid role Located in Schaumburg, IL HQ Office. Must be able to be on-site twice weekly and additional days as needed due to projects and meetings.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum: 10 years of experience in data architecture and data management.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Fabric and have hands-on experience implementing data solutions in such an environment.
2 years of experience leading data architecture for mid-sized to enterprise sized organizations.
Preferred
Current industry certifications from Microsoft or equivalent certifications
Master's degree in a related field.
Industry certifications in data architecture or related areas.
Experience in a larger IT environment with over 3000 users and multiple domains.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Google Professional Data Engineer
