We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Shipping Clerk. This role is based in our facility in Janesville, WI and reports to the Plant Manager.
The hours are Mo-Fri from 7.30am until 4pm. The starting wage is $20.96 per hour.

Job SummaryWe are seeking an upbeat individual who will be responsible to provide manufacturing support in our Shipping Department! The primary tasks are to accurately and efficiently pull, process and complete customer orders to achieve operational objectives.
- Complete company provided forklift certification and training.
- Maintains a safe working environment by following Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and attending training that is provided where required.
- Maintains a respectful working environment by following Human Resource Policies and attending mandatory training when required.
- Accurately pull customer orders and process for shipment.
- Correctly identify products.
- Accurately label boxes.
- Package and process orders through UPS/AFS computer system(s).
- Help direct work flows to meet shipping schedules.
- Track order information into the dispatch system for reporting.
- Must have the ability to run reports when required.
- Preparation of final shipping documents, bills of lading and any export paperwork, when applicable.
- Ability to self-manage daily workload to help meet shipping needs.
- Assist Shipping Supervisor in shipping operations.
- Serve as liaison to customer service for order information.
- Coordination with Freight Lines on completed or scheduled orders.
- Ability to follow timelines and schedules.
- Assist in maintaining a neat and organized facility.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
- Distribute received items to appropriate departments/areas.
- Ability to work as and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
- Participate in the physical year-end inventory and ongoing accuracy with conducting regular cycle counts.
Requirements
- High School diploma or certificate of completion is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Applicant must be able to read, write and speak English
- Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Must be a self-starter with good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn
- Great teammate with a proven track record to contribute to and cultivate a positive work environment
- Previous shipping and/or warehouse experience is preferred but not required
- Manufacturing plant environment
- The candidate must possess the ability to lift, move or handle material or equipment weighing up to 80 pounds
- The use of heavy equipment, such as forklift, pallet jack, wrapping machine, as well as use of hand and power tools
- Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required
