We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Project Engineer/Project Specialist. This role is based in our plant in Verdun, Quebec and reports to the Project Engineering Manager. Job Summary This role will report directly to the Regional Project Engineering Manager and support the project engineering team across IPEX Locations. This role requires the incumbent to have experiences in project execution, technical support, documentation and reporting, coordination, risk management, and compliance. The work will be in both the plants and corporate office with close collaboration across departments such as operations, maintenance, quality control, health and safety, logistics, etc. Principal Responsibilities: Assist in planning, coordination, execution of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed within budget, timeline, and quality standards. Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, including engineering design, analysis, and troubleshooting. Prepare and review project documentation, including specifications, drawings, reports, and progress updates. Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project implementation and effective communication. Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor project performance against established objectives. Ensure project compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering 3-5 years of progressive experience in engineering, in a manufacturing environment or in a related field Knowledge of extrusion and plastic molding equipment would be an asset Highly motivated, versatile, and dedicated Ability to work independently, with strong skills in personal motivation Excellent skills in customer relationship management Rigor and strong organizational skills Skilled in managing internal and external teams Capacity to learn in a changing and technological environment Skilled communicator, with strong teamwork values Good knowledge of software such as AutoCAD and the Office suite General knowledge of mechanical concepts, pneumatics, and hydraulics Working Conditions: Employee may be exposed to a moderate level of hazards in the work environment, such as chemicals, commercial products, exposure to potential toxins, moving machinery, repetitive motion, excessive noise, powered industrial vehicle fork/reach/ bucket lift/other. Nearly always work indoors in corporate office environment with long periods of sitting May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels. Employee will not be required to perform specific tasks such as lifting, muscular action, body movements, working positions, posture changes. When going to Ipex plants, Employee will be required to wear protective eyewear, hearing protection, safety shoes, hard hat, and/or other. Travel: Employee can be required to travel 30% of the time. Employee may need to regularly visit other IPEX locations. Hold a valid driver's license.
