Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Server / Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and exceptional customer service skills. As a Server / Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving drinks, and ensuring that all guests have an enjoyable experience. You will work closely with the kitchen staff and other team members to maintain high standards of service and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and making recommendations.
- Operate the POS system efficiently, including processing payments and managing tabs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and stocked.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items.
- Manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure prompt service for all customers.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol responsibly, adhering to all legal guidelines regarding alcohol service.
- Assist in training new staff members on bar operations and customer service standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bartender or in a similar role within the food service industry.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Proficient in using POS systems; experience with Aloha POS is a plus.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is desirable.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to sanitize work areas effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be at least 21 years old (or the legal age required by local regulations).
