We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the company’s operations and business practices align with all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards. This individual will be responsible for monitoring compliance, conducting audits, providing guidance on compliance-related issues, and fostering a culture of integrity across the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Investigate potential compliance violations, document findings, and recommend corrective actions. Prepare reports for leadership and regulatory bodies as necessary.
- Conduct regular audits, assessments, and reviews of compliance and processes to identify potential compliance risks and areas for improvement.
- Create and maintain documentation of compliance activities, policies, and procedures, while providing recommendations to enhance internal controls and overall compliance processes.
- Coordinate compliance-related initiatives, such as Employee-Owner training, policy updates, and remediation efforts.
- Proactively recommend changes to enhance operational compliance and efficiency and implement improvements where necessary.
- Ensure the company adheres to local, state, and federal regulations by staying informed on relevant regulatory changes and maintaining a thorough understanding of industry-specific compliance standards to support adherence.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and standards.

Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Security, Law, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs
- Experience in monitoring, reporting, and/or advising on compliance
- Solid technical understanding of computer systems, office automation, databases, and remote controls
- Understanding of compliance frameworks, policies, and best practices
- Ability to perform successfully under minimal direct supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of experience with HIPAA regulations
- Experience and knowledge of state of Indiana regulations
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
- Authorization to access the State of Indiana's operating systems
- Current and valid driver's license
- Current and valid car insurance
- Ability to pass a thorough background screen
This position is on-site functioning in a traditional professional office setting. A hybrid schedule is available after 6 months of employment. If working remotely, a home office with internet service and standard office equipment such as a computer and smartphone are required.
Minimal lifting and reaching is required. This is primarily sedentary position.
Minimal travel may be required.
