We are looking for a dedicated Regional EHS Manager to join our talented team located at our office in Emeryville, California.
In this role, you will oversee the administration of the IPS EH&S program and serve as a safety advisor, ensuring safety compliance by the project team and all subcontractors working at the project sites within the region. You will also manage one or more Senior EH&S Specialists on larger projects.

Additional Responsibilities
- Provide development, support, and guidance for EH&S Specialists under Regional oversight.
- Provide support and guidance on the development of project-specific Safety & Logistics plans for all new projects.
- Monitor project-specific implementation of IPS Safety programs.
- Support all safety efforts and promote IPS safety culture on all active projects throughout the region.
- Providing guidance on safety policy and enforcement.
- Ensure project compliance with the IPS safety program including but not limited to, safety submittals, training, and other EH&S documentation.
- Ensure project teams perform Procore inspections per company policy.
- Perform a written comprehensive job site audit on a bi-weekly basis.
- Administer safety Motivational programs.
- Provide safety training to project teams on IPS, client, and OSHA requirements.
- Support the investigation of all incidents, near misses, and accidents.
- Ensure contractors meet IPS safety expectations.
- Coach project teams in effective hazard identification and correction of issues.
- Serve as company liaison with OSHA, Insurance carriers, and other regulatory agencies.
- Responsible for staffing, development, and supervision of project safety managers.
- Analyze and provide trending reports and actions for the project team in SafetyNet.
- Develop and administer a safety training plan for staff.
- Manage all correspondence to insurance, OSHA, and regulatory bodies.
- Represent IPS Safety at Client meetings as assigned by the Safety Director.
- Use EH&S Director Objectives to Develop annual goals for the EHS Specialists.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Construction Health and Safety Technician credential and advanced safety management training or BS in Occupational Safety Management.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Certified as an OSHA 500 Trainer.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction safety principles, techniques, and methods.
- Sound knowledge of OSHA laws, regulations, and policies.
- Capable of identifying known potential exposures and recommending corrective action.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Certified and authorized instructor to teach safety courses to employees.
