Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Lab Asst/Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing venipunctures and collecting blood samples, urine samples, from patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role is essential in supporting laboratory operations and patient care within a clinical setting. Must have at least 3 years on a job verifiable phlebotomy experience.
Duties
- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures to collect blood samples from patients.
- Collect urine samples from clients/patients
- Insure all doctors orders are entered
- Enter/accession all orders and results into PC.
- Assist testing personal as and when needed in the lab
- maintain laboratory cleaning, and sanitation
- perform mobile draws and collections as needed
- register in office clients/patients
Qualifications
- Proficient in laboratory techniques and knowledge of physiology and anatomy.
- Demonstrated experience in venipuncture and familiarity with aseptic techniques.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to phlebotomy and laboratory procedures.
- Ability to accurately assess vital signs and respond appropriately to patient needs.
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in specimen collection and documentation.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
