Job Summary :
The Vice President of Enterprise Procurement is responsible for leading all the global procurement activities, strategy and operations for the corporation. This role involves developing and implementing procurement policies, sourcing and supplier management, and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The VP of Enterprise Procurement will work closely with Senior Leadership to align procurement strategies with the company’s overall business objectives.
Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership :
Develop and execute a comprehensive global procurement strategy through creating and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
Align procurement goals with the company’s strategic objectives.
Lead and mentor a high-performing procurement team.
Supplier Management :
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best terms and conditions.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Operational Excellence :
Oversee the procurement process to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Financial Management :
Develop and manage the procurement budget.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive cost reduction initiatives.
Complete audits of existing processes as required.
Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics.
Risk Management :
Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process.
Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions.
Ensure ethical and sustainable procurement practices.
Collaboration and Communication :
Collaborate with other departments to understand their procurement needs.
Communicate procurement strategies and policies to stakeholders.
Represent the procurement function in executive meetings and decision-making processes.
Skills Requirements :
Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
