Summary
Working in the Robotics Division for Ivy Technology this role is critical to the delivery of Installation and/or Technical upgrades, Retrofits or Maintenance Service(s) as performed for various market leading customers in the Robotics Ecosystem. This exciting opportunity is to expand our Field Services technical and project management team as Ivy Technology continue to grow in this dynamic sector.
This role as a Team Leader will be to perform technical execution, supervision, training and Subject Matter Expert guidance during the provision of the services. You will be expected to give technical support, training and supervision to group of less skilled labour. Services are generally project based and performed in location at our client’s premises and therefore command a high level of travel, often with short notice.
You will have a significant impact on customer experience, must have the ability to solve challenging problems, able to manage various 3rd Party interactions, be on call for emergencies, ability to handle multiple elements of project delivery and daily activities of yourself and those you supervise, and adhere to strict fixed time lines.
Specific technical training will be provided for the supported technologies. Technologies will include but are not limited to Automated Guided Vehicles, Robotic Arms, IT Infrastructure, Electrical Charging Stations, Device Scanning, E-Stop Safety Systems, Robot to Human Interaction Systems and others as required by the Services.
Responsibilities
- Hands on execution of technical services (repairs, preventive maintenance, installation, configuration and validation etc)
- Setting project execution plans and daily working plan to achieve targets, adjusting in line with operational challenges / changes
- Supervision and training of group of technicians / labour force to perform the Services
- Customer and Internal Management interaction for progress updates, project planning / adjustments and reporting
- Interpretation of Technical documents / instructions into Lean processes and operator work instructions
- Safety in the workplace for yourself and the individuals you supervise and other personnel in your working environment
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in similar technical / field service role.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Proven experience in training individuals on mechanic principals and tools usage
- Ability to work under time pressure.
- Understand principals of 5S and Lean approach
- Ability to travel 75% of time, often in extended periods
Education Requirement
Bachelor's, first degree, management / engineering or equivalent certificate required.
Fluent in the use of Office Software (e.g. Microsoft Excel)
