Role Summary :
Teambuilding Facilitation :
Plan, coordinate, and lead engaging and impactful team-building activities for project teams.Create an inclusive environment that fosters open communication, trust, and mutual respect among team members.Facilitate discussions to address team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and improve collaboration.Introduce team-building methodologies and tools to enhance group cohesion and effectiveness.Program Coordination :
Collaborate with IPTD program leadership to align team-building activities with Navy objectives and development goals.Manage logistical arrangements for team-building events , including venue selection, scheduling, and resource allocation .Ensure activities comply with NAVSEA guidelines and are conducted during official time periods.Maintain timely communication with stakeholders to address any logistical or program-related challenges.Leadership and Skill Development :
Identify and nurture leadership potential within teams through targeted team-building exercises.Encourage innovative thinking, creativity, and confidence to address complex challenges.Guide teams in identifying and leveraging their individual and collective strengths to improve productivity and cohesion.Deliver training focused on leadership development and professional growth .Outcome Evaluation and Reporting :
Assess the effectiveness of team-building sessions using participant feedback and key performance metrics.Prepare post-event reports detailing successes, challenges, and actionable recommendations for future sessions.Document lessons learned and best practices to continuously enhance training strategies.Present findings and recommendations to NAVSEA leadership to inform strategic decisions.Qualifications :
To be successful in this role, you should have :
A Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Development, Leadership, Psychology , or a related field.A minimum of 5 years of experience facilitating team-building, leadership development, or organizational training programs.Familiarity with Navy operations, ship maintenance processes , or similar military environments.An active DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.Up to 10% travel required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Exceptional facilitation and public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.Strong ability to create inclusive environments and mediate team dynamics constructively.Outstanding organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.Proficiency in using team-building tools, techniques, and methodologies .Familiarity with data collection tools for training evaluation and analysis .Preferred Experience and Skills :
Certification in facilitation, coaching, or leadership development (e.g., ICF, Gallup StrengthsFinder, or similar).Knowledge of NAVSEA's mission, operations, and team structures .Experience designing and delivering training programs tailored to diverse audiences.Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies .Ability to develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for team development activities.Employee Benefits :
