Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Accounting Analyst role located in Miami, FL at IRAS Group. The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for financial statements, journal entries, financial analysis, and various accounting tasks to support the financial operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, and assisting with financial reporting.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
- Assist in managing the company's cash flow and preparing bank reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documents and reports.
- Prepare and file periodic tax returns, including sales tax and other relevant filings.
- Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting by compiling necessary financial data.
- Provide support to senior accountants and finance teams in ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Experience:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Experience with financial statement preparation and month-end close processes.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
