Purpose of Position: The Plant Controller acts through expertise in Product Costing, Continuous Improvement, and variance analysis, as a business partner for the various functions both at site and centrally. The Plant Controller is responsible for supporting the management team in making timely and effective decisions to add value and drive efficiency.
\n- Preparation of reports including target/actual variance analyses
- Substitution in finance/financial statements
- Manufacturing cost calculation per product
- Independent analyses and initiatives for the ongoing optimization of manufacturing costs
- Profitability calculations and identifying areas for cost optimization
- Support of the plant management in continuous improvement projects and ad-hoc requests
- Support on strategic investment & fixed asset management
- Preparation and evaluation of regular forecasts and annual budget for plant
- ACCA or CIMA qualified not essential but preferred
- Controlling experience in the manufacturing industry
- Some experience in financial accounting (GL, AP)
- Focus on modern production cost-controlling
- Very good understanding of business contexts
- Self-initiative, assertiveness, independent analytical way of working
- Good communication skills
- ERP experience (such as SAP, Infor)
- Very good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and in dealing with IT systems
- University/technical masters degree
- Travel expectation – Occasional travel within Europe
