Responsibilities
- Accurately calculate and process weekly payroll.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Review and verify timesheets, overtime, and deductions to guarantee accuracy.
- Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system.
- Validate and reconcile payroll data to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Process new hires, terminations, and other changes in employment status.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to address payroll-related issues.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Process union remittance reports to ensure accurate reporting and payments.
- Update and maintain E1 union rate and benefit tables to ensure compliance with unions.
- Accurately process garnishments withholding orders to ensure compliance.
- This includes following the jurisdiction requirements and our standard processes to set up payroll deductions and written responses as required to agencies and courts
- Meet banking deadlines for file upload to ensure timely payments to employees.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Processor or similar role.
- Proficient in using payroll software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High degree of confidentiality and integrity.
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in payroll processing.
