POSITION SUMMARY:
This position provides outreach support direct to Industrial sites on behalf of IRG Physical & Hand Therapy on an as needed basis.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In addition to the duties outlined in the position summary above, the following duties are the responsibility of the Industrial Athlete ATC:
- Evaluation and treatment of workplace injuries, advancing treatment for industrial employees based on license and experience of ATC
- Prescribe and carry out rehabilitation programs for all employees
- Including strength and conditioning management as needed
- Follow & execute concussion policies, procedures, and requests
- Maintain appropriate athletic injury records per OSHA guidelines and act as medical consultant while on site
- Demonstrate proper taping, strapping, bracing and fitting of equipment
- Perform prevention assessment as lead medical on site
- Perform treatment and reconditioning of all employees in care
- Perform early evaluation, triage, CPR/First Aid and AED services
- Carry out all prescribed treatments and recommendations from the patient’s physician.
- Provide referrals to specific physicians and other IRG and allied health professionals including, but not limited to physical therapy, sports nutrition, sports performance, and massage therapy
- Work in conjunction with nutrition, wellness, physical therapy, and team physicians to ensure safety in the design and implementation of fitness, nutrition, preventative programs and conditioning programs customized to meet individual needs where applicable
- Maintain HIPAA compliance at contracted sites
- Maintain Athletic Training Certification and State Licensure by attending educational courses as outlined by the National Athletic Training Association
- Act as an IRG Brand Ambassador in all community related events
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in athletic training, exercise science, or related field with concentration in athletic training.
- Licensed in Washington state or eligible for licensure in Washington State.
- Certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
- One to three years in the field of athletic training. New graduates will be considered for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in athletic training
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or interest in becoming a CSCS through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
- Ergonomics certification or interest in becoming certified
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
- Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
- Ability to work with electronic medical record keeping systems and other computer databases
- Capability to work under pressure, manage time effectively and multitask
- Be an active, collaborative team member
- Ability to work weekends, nights, and nontraditional work hours.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Intermittent physical activity including but not limited to bending, reaching, driving and prolonged periods of sitting/ standing.
- Required to work at an IRG or contracted facility and be responsible for their own transportation to and from the work site.
- Could be exposed to viruses, disease and infections from patients in the working environment.
- Schedule will be based on the needs of IRG & contracted site.
- Ability to actively work for extended periods of time

PAY & BENEFITS INFORMATION:
- Base salary:$28-$32 per hour depending on experience
