What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front of House Staff position at Irish Sports Bar & Grill?
An upscale casual sports bar and restaurant is seeking to fill multiple front of house positions. The positions are as follows:
Part-Time Hostess
Minimum 1 year in a full service, high volume restaurant
Capable of standing long hours, bending, walking quickly, and lifting up to 20 lbs
Comfortable answering phones, taking to go orders, and using the reservation interface (Tock)
Available Wednesday through Saturday evenings (5 to 11) - Approx. 24 hours
Weekend and Sports Bartender
Minimum 2 years experience working as a bartender in a full service, high volume bar and restaurant
Moderate knowledge of beer and cocktails required
Basic knowledge of wine and American/Irish food preferred
Must be comfortable with learning to use AV systems to program different games and audio during the course of the shift
Must be available Saturdays and Sundays 10:30AM to 8:00PM
Full-Time Bartender
Minimum 2 years experience working as a bartender in a full service, high volume bar and restaurant
Moderate knowledge of American (NCAA, NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, etc.) and European sports preferred
Moderate knowledge of beer and cocktails required
Basic knowledge of wine and American/Irish food preferred
Must be comfortable with learning to use AV systems to program different games and audio during the course of the shift
Must be available Tuesday through Sunday evenings. Schedule will be 5 days a week but has not been set yet.
Full-Time Food Runner
Bilingual Spanish English a MUST
Minimum 2 years experience working as a food runner or server in a full service, high volume bar and restaurant
Must have extensive knowledge of plating American and Irish food
Must be able to carry a loaded tray of food with multiple dishes on it
Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work seamlessly with the kitchen to ensure the correct food is sent out. Teamwork skills and amicability toward the kitchen staff is an absolute must.
Must be available Monday through Friday day and night. Schedule to be set at a later date
