Technical Solutions Support

Description

The Solution Support Specialist’s role is to work on a Java based WCS (Warehouse Controls Software) system. The engineer will be traveling as part of a team to several Automation sites and working on live systems, in various types of work environments.

This is a full-time role. US Citizens and GC Holders preferred as we are unable to sponsor for this role. Must be local to Pittsburgh or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting live system issues, in a timely manner.
• Analyzing software logging and making system changes in the DB, UI, or Code.
• Analyze existing code and system configurations to determine potential issues.
• Configure the software and database to each specific automation system.
• Code change requests and live enhancements during on-site commissioning periods.
• Training and assistance for customers and operators during a commissioning period.
• Travel up to 75%

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering

Knowledge & Experience

• Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, including Java and SQL.
• Hands on familiarity of SQL development studios and writing SQL stored procedures/views.
• Understanding of coding methods and best practices
• Understanding of platforms such as Java WebServices, Microsoft Windows and Apache
