We are seeking a highly organized Full Charge Bookkeeper with excellent project management skills and a good eye for detail to effectively manage all the accounting needs of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for full cycle accounting duties. Experience/knowledge in manufacturing accounting preferred.
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, etc.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts to source documents – bank account, A/P, A/R, credit cards, etc.
- Maintain a coherent system of accounts, with a supporting filing system
- Handle payroll preparation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and local laws.
- Manage and track fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Prepare bank deposits
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and work with external accountants when necessary.
- Tax Related Duties (prepare/file quarterly tax payments, quarterly state excise tax reports, gather W-9 information, prepare 1099’s, prepare documents & reports for CPA at year-end)
- Perform additional related administrative tasks as needed.
- Associate's or bachelors degree in accounting or related field.
- Experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper
- Certified Bookkeeper designation, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger functions.
- Experience with account analysis and journal entries.
- Aptitude for business systems and procedures.
- Precision, reliability, and a keen eye for detail are essential.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and accounting software.
- Self-motivated, adept at working independently and proactively.
- $28.00 - $32.00 / Hour depending on type of experience and job history.
