Key Hourly Supervisor

The Key Hourly Supervisor, or Key for short, at Iron Hill Brewery is a developmental position that is focused on learning and developing their skills as a manager while leading assigned shifts. The eventual goal of a Key is to gain enough experience to become a salaried manager at Iron Hill Brewery. Keys help to fulfill Iron Hill’s mission of Inspiring Loyalty in the restaurant by show casing their passion for people, operations, and products.

• Leads and Develops People as well as Self.
  • Be the example of Inspiring Loyalty by utilizing HOME Hospitality on every shift.
  • Focus on learning, refining, and practicing leadership skills through hands-on experience on each shift.
  • Continues to grow business acumen through training with mentors and supervisors
  • Review employee performance and learning with supervisor, providing coaching and feedback directly to the team members where needed.
  • Communicate clearly with management both in-person and using internal communication systems regarding team member performance and coaching conversations held.
  • Represent the best of Iron Hill Brewery’s values when working with team members and guests including handling difficult interactions.
  • Maintain flexibility with your working hours and assigned tasks.
• Maintains Sound Operational Standards
  • Leads assigned shifts to ensure that all Iron Hill operational, safety, sanitation, and security standards are always upheld.
  • Coach employees on the current established SOPs for the organization.
  • Adhere to and upholds all Iron Hill standards and policies.
  • Must adhere to all HR and other reporting requirements as per the set procedures.
  • Always maintains confidentiality of employee, guest, financial, and company information.
  • Participates in each pre-shift conversations to set the shift up for success.
    • With experience, Keys will be expected to eventually plan and lead the pre-shift conversations with their manager’s approval.
  • Assists with creation of prep-lists and submit inventory orders for various parts of the business.
  • Perform assigned administrative duties as assigned.
• Assists with Delivering Exceptional Profit and Financial Results
  • Models and drives local marketing initiatives in neighboring communities by creating and leveraging relationships.
  • Guarantees ethical and proper cash handling procedures and inventory controls for all employees.
  • Learns and eventually assists with the creation of schedules for hourly team members based on business needs.
  • Learns and eventually makes appropriate labor decisions, including cuts, on shift based on business needs.
  • Assists with the reduction of waste within the restaurant including food, beverage, and other cost categories.
  • Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience with Iron Hill Brewery
• Must be in good standing with the organization with no disciplinary action documentations within the past six (6) months
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older due to alcohol service requirements.
• Must be able to pass a basic background check
• Must complete internal Key Training Program
• Patient and able to train nearly flawless execution of Iron Hill Brewery standards.
• Ability to successfully complete and maintain Manager ServSafe Food Certification
• Ability to successfully complete and maintain applicable Alcohol Certification
• Comfortable and passionate about learning and providing excellent employee interactions.
• Creative mindset that allows for unique approaches that support dynamic approaches to coaching and different learning methods.
• Accomplished in developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal staff.
• Responsible and motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently, prioritize objectives and exercise sound judgment.
• Comfortable speaking in front of others and communicating with all levels of management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere
