The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for all storage accounts, client services, operations, and administration of the downtown LA facilities. Additionally, this position will manage an operations team, who thrives on exceeding Crozier’s client’s expectations. Ideal candidates for this position will organize, schedule, and plan daily activities while building a highly motivated performance team and supporting operations staff with warehouse guidance and knowledge.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operations: Assumes daily operation control of the facility. Each Operations Manger works on the formulation of Crozier’s local operational strategies and business plans. In turn, it translates key corporate strategic objectives, associated initiatives. It targets down to the facility level by defining relevant operations and financial performance criteria and ensuring appropriate allocation of resources. Uses foresight and experience to contribute strategic advice to the Senior General Manager as required
- Safety & Security - responsible for the safety and security of clients, employees, and the art; liaise with Corporate Security and Risk for all building security and fire prevention, CCTV, and burglar alarms. Acts as the first responder to any off-hour emergencies and second in the respond central station call tree. Responsible for security and security of the building, equipment, and grounds.
- Staff - responsible for training, mentoring, coaching, developing, and retaining all facility staff. Manage workload to ensure the facility is appropriately staffed at all times. Continuously review areas of responsibility to increase productivity and improve efficiency. Keep all commitments, operate with integrity, and promote an “open book” management style. Provide leadership to the team and set a personal example for others to emulate.
- Finance - responsible for meeting monthly financial targets set by the company and reviewing P&L statements for the office. Prepare and monitor the annual operation budget by checking costs, overhead, and all facility-related financial charges.
- Administration - supply estimates and facility availability information to internal clients. Coordinate activity logistics and handling strategies. Schedule and third-party coordinate vendors.
- Engineering/Facility - acts as liaison with Engineering for all issues relating to building and equipment. Responsible for maintenance, general upkeep, and appearance of the facility.
- Client Services – assumes primary contact with clients and accounts, advises on innovative developments and new business opportunities.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience. Five years of managerial experience
- Strong working knowledge of art logistics, including current packing, handling, storage, and transportation methods and materials/equipment
- Performs effectively with a very high degree of autonomy, visibility, and accountability, yet must be equally effective as a management team player and possesses excellent planning and organizational abilities.
- Capable of working well under pressure and deliver on deadlines
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to plan, multi-task, and manage time effectively
- Superior client service skills: Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work to meet schedules and timelines in an environment with constantly changing priorities
