About the Job:
Leading all shop/yard activities including maintenance team members and mobile service techs. Effectively maintain equipment, control and manage inventory, enforce safety protocols, and maintain yard flow and efficiency. Communicate with the Dispatch, Operations and Sales teams to meet all customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the fleet inventory; keeping an accurate count of the equipment on hand and communicating to operations and sales
- Achieve all Organizational Excellence goals
- Ensure that equipment is functional, clean, maintained and rent-ready following quality assurance program
- Ensure that the yard is maintained and organized.
- Schedule and complete any/all repairs
- Conduct safety meetings with Asset Maintenance Team and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide coaching and counseling to Asset Maintenance Team
- Maintain the inventory of shop and yard supplies; negotiate contracts or pricing where appropriate
- Maintain an accurate record of damages, including pictures and communicate to operations and sales staff for billing
- Track daily production and inventory counts, and communicate to dispatch, operations and sales
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Leadership/management experience
- Ability to work paid on call rotating weekends
- Must possess valid class A CDL Driver's License
- Foreman experience preferred
- Required to lift 50-75 pounds or more
- Some CDL A travel to customer locations
- Welding experience
- Required to walk the yard, up to 50 yards or more at a time
- Ability to work both indoors & outdoors year round
- Alternate sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping
- Ability to bend and lift and/or lift overhead
- Ability to operate a forklift and company vehicle
- Work well in a team environment

Job Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of experience with general labor and general repairs
- High School Diploma or GED
- Welding experience preferred
- Current Driver's License
