Outside Sales Representative
IronRoad is conducting a confidential search for our Cincinnati, Ohio client. We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our clients' Outside Sales Team! Someone that has a great vibe and has a proven track record of building prospects and client relationships. We are looking for an individual to cover KY, SW Ohio, Indiana.
You can be wildly successful in this position if you are a self-starter, willing to put the work in to get in front of customers and prospects, be willing to learn about a wide variety of products and offerings that our client provides, have 3-5 years of proven successful sales experience, have excellent communication skills, strong customer service skills and an overall drive to succeed, then we want to meet and talk to you!!.
The perfect candidate would already have sales training and experience selling in the B2B space, comfortable selling against less expensive competition, and be looking for the opportunity to earn a six-figure salary. This is not a 9-to-5 desk job, you will be spending all of your time in your car and in customer's manufacturing plants.
Compensation:
- The overall benefits package for this direct hire position will consist of a base salary of 70k-80k for the 1st year, a car allowance, expense reimbursement

- The intention would be to transition to a fully commission-based compensation plan, this normally happens after the first year or so of experience with our client's company.
- A Successful salesperson working for our client, that is willing to work smart/hard should realistically expect to make six figures on a fully commissioned sales program in or around your 2nd year. The owner works with folks to set realistic goals and targets.
Responsibilities:
- Contact customers primarily face-to-face but also via email and over the phone
- Stay up-to-date on our vendor's product offerings and their potential applications for your customers
- Understand clients' specific needs through consultation and provide best solutions
- Comply with company standards for customer satisfaction
- Achieve weekly sales call and "new projects" goals
- Overnight travel will be required to attend sales meetings and annual trade shows, and some overnight travel may be required in order to visit customers throughout your territory
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with B2B sales, preferably industrial
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Prior sales training is a plus - Experience with the Sandler Sales System would be a big plus.
