Position Type: Full-Time, In-Person
The team at Ironside Engineering & Development is seeking an entry level CAD Designer to prepare basic Civil Engineering designs and drawings in AutoCad software. IE&D is looking for a motivated individual interested in being part of a team-based work environment in our Show Low, AZ office. Applicants should be detail oriented with a desire to learn how to design and approach projects in the Civil Engineering Field.
Responsibilities:
- Create and modify detailed drawings, layouts, and designs using AutoCAD software.
- Produce various drawings including site plans, grading plans, civil plan sets, plan and profile sheets, and utility plans.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to deliver high-quality design solutions.
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards and project specifications.
- Review and refine designs to meet client and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with project field survey and site visits as needed to support project mapping.
- Maintain organized documentation of all drawings and revisions.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software (preferred)
- Understanding of civil engineering principles, including grading, drainage, and utilities.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and survey data.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Associate degree in Drafting, Design, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.
