What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Engineering position at Irving Knight Group?
Irving Knight Group is currently partnered with a multi-billion dollar Building Material manufacturer, that is looking to add a Director of Engineering the their SLT at the flagship facility in Arkansas, this individual will stand as "second in command". This facility is ~800k sqft with a total headcount of >600 employees.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership over three vital areas within the plant, Maintenance, Plant & Process Engineering, alongside the capital project team.
- Design and integrate a new Maintenance and Reliability plan, that focuses around preventative and predictive maintenance including inventory management, alongside integrating a new data-driven CMMS system.
- Review, Identify and install capital projects across the plant, producing positive results in safety, environment, productivity. This individual will ensure projects are delivered on time, in budget and integrated safely.
- Cross-functional collaboration, including extensive collaboration with safety, quality, production teams.
- Lead root cause analysis and countermeasure development for top quality, OEE and customer complaint issues.
- Ensure the development and maintenance of process flow charts, PFMEAs, and control plans for production.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or technical degree.
- 10 years experience in management (plant, engineering, quality, continuous improvement, etc).
- Extensive project management experience.
- Strong leadership skillset, familiarity with employee skillset and culture development.
- Six Sigma is preferred.
- High aptitude with data-driven decision making.
