As a Human Resource Business Partner, you will provide leadership and direction within your assigned area for managers and employees of Irving Oil. Your goal will be to serve as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. Your Responsibilities:
- Provide feedback on HR programs, identify impacted employees, and assess risks and opportunities
- Foster overall engagement, monitor and drive engagement actions and insights
- Support culture and talent outcomes in support of strategic objectives
- Lead Human Resource cycles such as performance management, compensation, career development, workforce planning and succession planning
- Coach leadership to enable team effectiveness and leadership alignment sessions
- Facilitate talent pipeline conversations and work closely with Human Resource senior leaders to execute key activities and programs that result from insights
- Serve as the Human Resource lead on medium to large projects within the business and across the functional groups
- Advise on operational talent matters, risks and opportunities to support continuous improvement and execute human resource processes and compliance to performance standards
- Manage complex employee inquiries and resolve them in a timely manner
Your Skills:
- Strong Recruitment, Discipline Management and Employment Legislation skills
- Business and financial acumen while being proactive in dealing with potential challenges
- Acting as an Employee advocate with a strong people mindset and corporate values
- Maintaining confidence and professionalism while navigating through ambiguous and complex situations
- Proven ability in coaching, problem solving, negotiation and change management
- Experience using various Human Resources Information Systems
Your Experience:
- 5 years Human Resources operational experience or Professional Human Resource Designation
- Previous Human Resources operations experience in a DOT or commercial driver setting is an asset
