Currently, we have two Chicago locations that are directly located across from one another. Both locations share a dedicated and united leadership team!
- IPELC - Whipple (3023 West Montrose) - 7:00am to 6:00pm
- IPELC - Sacramento (3000 West Montrose) - 7:00am to 5:30pm

IPELC is looking for an Assistant Teacher to join our program.
This position is available for a full-time or part-time schedule. This position requires complete consistency and punctuality.
Assistant Teachers must live within a 5 mile radius of our locations.
This position requires a background check clearance, three written references, and a DCFS mandated medical form.

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility or educational environment - Highly Preferred***
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- First Aid & CPR certified or willing to obtain certification.
- Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages a virtual childcare management program, ProCare, for each attending student in the assigned classroom.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, squat, jump, dance, walk, run, reach carry, lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to support Lead Teachers in behavioral and academic processes within the classroom.
- Provide toileting and diapering assistance to children in adherence to state standards.
- In alignment to DCFS and company policy, consistently maintains cleanliness and order of the classroom environment. This includes but is not limited to mopping, sweeping, dusting, laundry, and trash removal.
- Distribute bottles and/or company-vendored meals to students in respect to their dietary needs.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Under the supervision of the lead teacher, ability to implement age appropriate curriculum.
- Ability to redirect students and promote self-regulation in a kind and considerate manner.
- Uphold mandated uniform expectations.
- Consistent in punctuality and attendance.
- Ability to work occasional additional hours on mandated events (Parent Events, All Staff Meetings, etc)
