Job Title: Events & Communications Intern (Summer 2025)
Position Overview
The Events & Communications Intern will gain hands-on experience in corporate event planning, employee engagement, and internal communications. This internship offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in organizing, planning, and executing major company events, including the Service Awards, Summer BBQ, and Irwin Gear & Gifting initiatives. You'll also contribute to internal communication strategies by designing digital content and maintaining communication channels.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of the Service Awards Event management, including logistics, organization, and execution.
- Support the planning and coordination of the company's Summer BBQ.
- Help develop and implement the next evolution of the Irwin Gear & Gifting program.
- Design engaging digital communications for internal monitors.
- Maintain communication of monthly events and employee engagement initiatives.
- Update and maintain the internal digital newsletter and Irwin communication channels.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Previous experience or coursework related to event planning or management.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in online applications such as Canva, ChatGPT, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Internship Duration & Commitment
- May – Mid-August 2025
- Part-time commitment, 2-3 days per week in-office.
- Required availability for all major event dates.
