Commercial Special Asset Collector

Position Title: Commercial Special Asset Collector

Reports To: Collections Manager

General Functions:

• Handles bankruptcy notices and files the proper notices on reaffirmations  
• Prepares and handles loan modifications for any commercial or agricultural loans
• Prepare all short sales/forbearance agreements/repayment agreements for commercial loans including agricultural loans
• Works with lenders on calls for loans over 30 days past due commercial and agricultural
• Files SBA claims and workout arrangements
• Handles FSA claims and reporting
• Handles reporting for capital access
• Has the ability to meet with customers at various locations
• Performs administrative tasks for supervisor and others as assigned

 Qualifications:

• High School diploma required
• Bachelor degree preferred
• 5 years collections experience required
• Excel knowledge/experience preferred
• Mortgage knowledge/experience preferred
• Commercial lending experience preferred
• Knowledge in agricultural
• Bankruptcy knowledge preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a team player
• Able to work independently of others
• Strong word processing, spelling, grammar and organizational skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Knowledge of Excel
• Able to maintain a high work volume
• Strong attention to detail and deadlines
• Willingness to take on new responsibilities to grow within the department
