Position Summary:
The Campus Director is responsible for the overall leadership and management of iSchool High, ensuring a safe, supportive, and academically rigorous environment for students, staff, and the community. The principal will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and the local community college to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Four-year degree from an accredited College or University (Masters Preferred)
- Teaching certificate or school administrator certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in an educational environment
- 3 years of experience working with administrative leadership, clients and/or stakeholders,
and/or education personnel related to school improvement, facilitation of learning, or related
educational interests
- 3 years of experience in supervising a staff of 5 or more
- 3 years of experience in managing budgets
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Vision
- Develop and communicate a clear vision for the school that promotes academic success and a positive school culture.
- Lead the school community in setting and achieving academic and operational goals.
Instructional Management
- Oversee the development and implementation of the curriculum to ensure alignment with state standards and the needs of students.
- Promote effective teaching strategies and professional development opportunities for staff.
Student Engagement and Support
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of all students.
- Implement programs and initiatives that enhance student well-being, engagement, and achievement.
Staff Development
- Recruit, hire, and mentor teaching and administrative staff.
- Facilitate regular professional development opportunities and performance evaluations.
Community Relations
- Build strong relationships with parents, community members, and local organizations to support school initiatives and student achievement.
- Act as a liaison between the school, district, and the local community college
Administrative Duties
- Manage the school budget and resources effectively to maximize student learning opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and policies.
Safety and Discipline
- Maintain a safe and orderly school environment.
- Develop and enforce ResponsiveEd school policies regarding student behavior and discipline.
