Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to join our educational team. Key Responsibilities
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and innovations.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop interdisciplinary projects and extracurricular activities.
- Uphold the school’s policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Must meet one of the following:
- Texas State Teacher’s Certification in subject to be taught
- Bachelor’s degree with a passing score on an ExCET/TExES Exam in grade level or content area to be taught
- Bachelor’s degree with an academic minor or major (minimum of 18 credit hours) in the core academic subject areas to be taught
- Bachelor’s degree and documented successful, relevant work experience in the content area to be taught, established by at least one year of employment in a specific field or occupation that required the educator to demonstrate knowledge or skill in the content area. This is to be supported by a professional letter of recommendation from the educator’s employer or supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of subject matter and curriculum standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
- Experience in using technology for teaching and learning is a plu
Working Conditions
- Full-time position within a high school setting.
- May require occasional evening or weekend commitments for events, meetings, or professional development.
