Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment, enhancing student engagement, and promoting academic success. This position requires effective communication skills, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and innovations.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to develop interdisciplinary projects and extracurricular activities.
  • Uphold the school’s policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Must meet one of the following: 
    • Texas State Teacher’s Certification in subject to be taught
    • Bachelor’s degree with a passing score on an ExCET/TExES Exam in grade level or content area to be taught
    • Bachelor’s degree with an academic minor or major (minimum of 18 credit hours) in the core academic subject areas to be taught
    • Bachelor’s degree and documented successful, relevant work experience in the content area to be taught, established by at least one year of employment in a specific field or occupation that required the educator to demonstrate knowledge or skill in the content area.  This is to be supported by a professional letter of recommendation from the educator’s employer or supervisor.
  • Strong knowledge of subject matter and curriculum standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • Experience in using technology for teaching and learning is a plu



Working Conditions

  • Full-time position within a high school setting.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend commitments for events, meetings, or professional development.

 

Salary

Salary : $54,000 - $61,000
