What are the responsibilities and job description for the Piano Instructor position at iSchool of Music and Art?
iSchool of Music and Art is looking to hire a passionate piano instructor capable of training students age 6 and above. Preferred Candidates have experience teaching Voice as well.
Applicants need to have a friendly demeanor and positive attitude around lessons and music education. Applicants must have previous experience working with young students. Must be available Saturdays.
Teachers meet with students once a week for lessons ranging 30-60 minutes. Applicants should be well versed in NYSSMA preparation standards up to or beyond Level 6. Applicants should have a preferred method book to teach from (i.e. Faber) and emphasize both classical techniques and modern/ pop music repertoire.
Applicants must be willing to contractually commit to at least one year from the start date (fall and spring semesters, summer availability as well.)
