About International Student Exchange Program (ISE): Since 1982, ISE has provided U.S. Department of State-designated high school exchange programs for exchange students around the world. We believe that in-person, authentic interactions with people from different walks of life encourage more peaceful interactions worldwide.
The non-profit, ISE high school exchange student program, is expanding its presence in in the Suffolk County area, and we're searching for an enthusiastic individual to join us in this mission. As an Area Representative, you'll step beyond social media promotion to engage directly in local communities finding volunteer host families for international students due to arrive this August.
This flexible work-from-home role requires around 2-3 hours of your time each week, offering unlimited earning potential based on your efforts. You'll have the freedom to set your own placement goals and working hours, and you'll receive a placement stipend for every successful match between a host family and a student.
Primary Placement Duties:
- Promoting ISE and qualifying local host families to provide bed, food and parental guidance
- Conducting in-person home interviews with potential hosts to determine their suitability to host
- Matching international students with volunteer host families according to hobbies, interests and attitudes
- Gaining high school enrollment acceptance for exchange students
After Arrival Duties:
- With guidance from regional manager, conduct an in-person orientation for hosts and students
- Provide bi-monthly in-person contact and offering guidance and support when needed
- Reporting any homestay or school issues to regional manager
- Being available 24/7 for emergencies
- Maintaining confidentialities
