Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of international exchange students and local families? We're seeking a spirited and enthusiastic coordinator in La Grande, Oregon, to connect eager exchange students from around the world with welcoming volunteer host families in this community.
As a coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in fostering cross-cultural understanding and creating lifelong friendships. This rewarding position involves recruiting and matching students with families who are excited to share their homes and traditions. Your efforts will help students gain a deeper appreciation for American culture while enriching the lives of host families with diverse perspectives.
About Our In-coming Students
- 14-18 years old from one of 40 different countries
- Speak English
- Attend nearest public school to host family
- Have own spending money and medical insurance
- Are ready to become a participating member of an American host family, pitching in on everything from household chores to family discussions!
Your Duties:
- recruit volunteer families for August arriving exchange students
- Conduct home visits
- Promote ISE in your local community
- Collaborate with schools for enrollment of international students
- Qualify American teens to join ISE’s Study Abroad Program
