Position Overview
We are seeking a Resident Engineer to oversee the development, integration, and validation of in-vehicle wireless charger for mobile devices. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical liaison between the engineering teams, OEMs, and suppliers, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- IDentify and manage all project development qualities during and after development
- Resolve software & hardware issues and communicate with customers to handle the issues
- Coch and mentor engineers, one-stop-shop for OEM customers and internal people
- Manage OEM customer design requests, develop APQP and manage 3rd party solutions
- Develop features (if necessary, multiple functions)
- Plan and manage multiple feature development milestones
- Support resolving business, manufacturing, and technical issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Validation, Manufacturing, Procurement/Purchasing, Sales, Quality, Customers
- Communicate with HQ in S. Korea cross-functional teams not limited to program
- Release weekly development progress reports and communicate with customer's engineers
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree
- 5 years related experience
- Bilingual in Korean and English required
- Tier 1 Automotive experience required
- Knowledge of automotive product development processes (APQP, DFMEA, PPAP)
- Experience with wireless power transfer (WPT) technologies and charging coil design
- Background in automotive software (MATLAB, Simulink, C/C ) for system modeling and simulation
- Ability to work late/early hours for meetings with international contacts
