Position Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and contribute to the efficient operation of our warehouse while supporting fleet vehicle management. This role involves supervising daily warehouse activities, enforcing safety protocols, participating in physical labor, and ensuring accurate inventory management. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with the ability to multitask and actively engage in operations to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and actively participate in the receiving, storage, and dispatching of materials.
- Assist with deliveries to ensure timely and accurate customer fulfillment.
- Perform monthly cycle counts and investigate discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for improving warehouse operations and implement best practices.
- Optimize warehouse layout to ensure efficient space utilization.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with operational and safety standards.
- Assist in coordination of maintenance and servicing of fleet vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.
- Manage warehouse driver routes to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
- Enforce and promote adherence to OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Conduct safety inspections, training sessions, and routine audits.
- Respond to safety incidents, investigating root causes and implementing corrective measures.
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve productivity and safety goals.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure team accountability.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Address and resolve any operational or personnel issues promptly.
- Manage team timecards, performance evaluations and growth opportunities.
- Actively engage in material handling tasks, including lifting, moving, and organizing stock.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for quality and quantity compliance.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as various types of forklifts, pallet jacks, and delivery vehicles.
- Support loading and unloading of materials to and from vehicles as needed.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics, with supervisory responsibilities.
- Familiarity with fleet management practices and vehicle maintenance coordination.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Great organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required, up to 80 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
- OSHA certification or related safety training.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Combination of office, warehouse, and outdoor environments.
- Regular physical activity including standing, walking, lifting, bending, sitting and driving.
