Construction Laborer ll

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer I/ll to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks that support the overall operations of our projects. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Manual physical labor at a construction site. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Digging pipe trenches
• Inspecting the pipe for any defects
• Laying pipe into the trench
• Measuring piping and cutting it down or resizing it to meet specifications
• Sealing pipe joints
• Locating existing systems using particular detectors
• Installing and repairing underground piping systems, including water, sewer, storm drain.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints in order to properly install pipes
• Using a variety of heavy duty construction tools, including, but not limited to shovels, jackhammers, and concrete vibrating equipment
• Assist in the preparation and cleanup of job sites.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Load and unload materials as required for various projects.
• Follow instructions from Project Leads to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on site, including the use of all required PPE.

Qualifications

• Digging Trenches
• Pipe laying
• Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles required.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and perform physical tasks for extended periods in the elements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is necessary.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39.15 - $41.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
