Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Garden Center Manager for our recently established nursery to lead our team in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a vibrant garden center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, sales, and team management. As the Garden Center Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring product quality, and driving sales while fostering a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the garden center, including inventory management and product displays.
- Ensure the high quality of all plant material, create displays / planters and work with stuff
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their gardening needs and offering expert advice on plants and trees
- Train and supervise staff to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain the garden center's appearance, ensuring displays are attractive and well-stocked.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the cash register and maintain proper cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop promotional strategies that drive sales and enhance customer engagement.
- Monitor stock levels and order new products as needed to maintain a diverse selection for customers.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the garden center to create an inviting shopping environment.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
- Experience in cash handling and proficiency with cash register operations.
- Deep knowledge in South West Florida gardening and plants
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also leading staff effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in english, to provide clear instructions and information to customers and staff alike.

Pay: $54,500.00 - $65,000.00 per year
