What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Inflight Catering Operations Manager position at Island Kitchen?
Island Kitchen InFlight is a large scale in-flight catering company that services the crew and passengers with catering and concierge services accoss South Florida. We are looking to add an Assistant Operations Manager to our team. You will play a key role in supporting the overall operations of the business. Experience in all elements of a kitchen environment is strongly preferred. Day to day operations will vary but you may be required to expedite catering orders, manage customer support by communicating with our vendors and retrieving delivery information, shopping, assist the kitchen team, and helping organize the staff. Shifts will vary in time but are generally either early morning 3AM-12PM or afternoon/evening 12PM-8/9PM.
You will assist the General Manager in overseeing daily activities, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on a smaller team, is flexible and adaptable to change, and is interested in a long-term role in Naples, Florida.
- Support the General Manager in day-to-day operational tasks
-Maintaining organized and keeping drivers on task and assisting the expo when needed
- Assist in training and developing team members
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer inquiries or issues
- Collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets
- Utilize sales management techniques to drive revenue growth
- Demonstrate leadership skills by motivating and guiding team members
*Qualifications*
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus (English/Spanish)
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs for staff development
- Excellent negotiation skills to handle vendor relationships effectively
- At least 3-5 years in middle management experience would be preferred

Pay: $23.00 - $26.50 per hour
