Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, making it essential for the effective management of our financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks accounting software.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely payments and collections while maintaining positive vendor and client relationships.
- Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and payroll entries.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank statements
- Maintain accurate general ledger: reconcile accounts, identify and correct any discrepancies.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and regulations.
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Stay updated on financial concepts, tax regulations, and technical accounting practices.
- Monitor and manage expenses. Voice cost-saving measures comparing current and prior invoices.
- Perform related office duties as designated.
Experience
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting is preferred.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, tax regulations, and technical accounting principles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is required.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
