Summary
We are seeking a SKILLED Painter to join our team at Island Vista Resort. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal of our resort through high-quality painting and renovation work. Your contributions will play a vital role in upholding our reputation for excellence in hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Repair and renovate existing structures as needed to ensure quality appearance.
- Work closely with maintenance staff to coordinate painting projects with other renovations.
- Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols on construction sites.
- Estimate materials needed for projects and assist in managing inventory.
- Interpret schematics and design plans to execute painting tasks accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on painted surfaces to ensure longevity.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a painter or similar role in a hospitality or construction setting.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and design plans effectively.
- Basic math skills for estimating materials and measuring spaces accurately.
- Experience with trim carpentry and maintenance person tasks is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with construction site safety practices is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
