What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rental Manager position at Island Watersports?
Island Watersports is now accepting applications for the Rental Manager position. The ideal candidate has boating and management experience. The position is Full-Time year-round. Seasonally expect a lot more hours in peak summer with lighter hours in the off-season.
In Season Duties
- Direct oversight of dock hands and office staff
- Manage fleet of 25 vessels (safety gear on board, mechanical maintenance tracking, operational status)
- Manage booking for rental equipment
- Negotiate rental pricing to fill vacancies
- Schedule employees on weekly basis, track hours for budgeting
Off Season Duties
- Setup marketing for up coming season
- Hire and train seasonal employees
- Budgeting
- Boat and dock prep for rental equipment
- General marina help
Requirements
- Boaters license
- Comfortable driving various type of boats
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while multitasking
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Ability to lead a team of various ages
Bonuses to give you an edge in the hiring process

- Familiar with local waterways
