Retail Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities within the warehouse, ensuring efficient inventory control, and leading a team to meet distribution goals. This role requires a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes, as well as compliance with OSHA regulations.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
• Receive merchandise via FedEx, UPS, or truck ensuring accurate box count and denoting any issues such as damage
• Reconcile packing slips with purchase orders in a timely manner and with attention to detail
• Maintain, organize and audit stock in warehouse and storage areas
• Conduct physical count of merchandise as needed
• Report and work closely with other store managers and owners
• Contribute to a positive and respectful workplace
• Coordinate materials handling and ensure proper storage of products within the warehouse.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Implement best practices for efficiency in operations while adhering to company standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse supervisory role or similar position.
• Knowledge of inventory control systems and materials handling procedures.
• Familiarity shipping/receiving processes.
• Customer service orientated
• Effective at problem solving and keeping calm when issues arise
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills: verbal and written
• Ability to check in orders/merchandise correctly, timely and with attention to detail
• Experience in team management with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the position.
• Ability stand and move merchandise from the warehouse to the retail floor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 45 per week
