Job Summary:
We are seeking a technically skilled Forklift Operator with excellent attention to detail to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency, scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs, and managing inventory, among other duties.
- Loading/unloading, shipping and receiving warehouse items.
- Unloading lumber trucks and staging lumber.
- Transporting materials to various locations within the facility.
- Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
- Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
- Inspecting for damage to vehicles.
- Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
- Operating company dump truck and taking dump truck to city landfill to empty.
- Operating and managing technical equipment.
- Managing poly inventory.
- Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.
- Cleaning and maintaining the back pad and yard.
- Identifying workplace safety hazards.
- Locate and move stock of products to pallets for storage or shipment.
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Adhering to safety management standards.
- Adhering to production schedules.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid forklift certificate.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Proficiency in operating technical machinery.
- Good physical condition.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Good organizational skills.

- Good written and verbal communication.
Forms Used:
- Forklift Daily Maintenance Log.
Equipment Used:
- Forklift, Dump Truck, Electric Jack, Hand Dolly, etc.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting.
- Minimum of 2 years of forklift operator experience.
- Clean Valid Alabama Driver's License.
- Valid Forklift Certificate.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and dump truck and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
- Forklift Written and Driving Test will be given at interview.
For positions requiring access to technical data, Isoclima Specialty Glass may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce – Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State – Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. As such, applicants for this position – except for U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) – may be subject to a U.S. export control license review process.
